Be less advertising.
We’ve seen agencies gouging revenue so only a tiny percentage ever actually services the client.
We’ve seen clients promised devotion and endless on-tap resources in pitches, and then watched the agency service them with the scraps.
We’ve witnessed existing clients getting sidelined as an agency pours all its resources into trying to win an unpaid pitch.
We’ve cringed as agencies pushed resources onto clients that they weren’t in want or need of.
We’ve worked in places where crying staff were so common there was a room at the back of the office unofficially assigned to them.
We’ve picked up the phone to freelancers who’ve been waiting on a payment for over three months from big agencies.
And we’ve spoken to clients who’ve never been spoken to by a creative.
So, we decided… kwpx&partners would be an antidote to all this.
We’re here to ‘Be less advertising’.
Respect
-
Never sell them anything they don’t need.
Take the time to connect with their business on a deeper level.
Connect them with the people who make the work.
Be honest without being a prick.
Make sure the work we do for every client is the best in their category.
Never take on a project if we feel there’s a better agency for the job. (We promise to tell you if there is.)
Never do an unpaid pitch, because current clients always end up paying.
-
Dollars buy audiences but hearts and minds must be earned.
Creativity is our currency. Don’t be a cheapskate.
Do your research. Be interested in them and they’ll return the favour.
One deep connection will be more effective than a dozen shallow interruptions.
-
Respecting ourselves means not working for painful people, or clients we don’t believe in.
It means giving ourselves the time and space to do our best work, every day.
Respecting ourselves means treating staff wellbeing as an investment, not a cost.
It means charging fees that reflect our value, or saying no thank you.
And, it means doing pro-bono work for organisations we believe in.
